New love and disappointment

If anyone is looking for a lightweight mascara that's not too thick, wet and clumpy you have to pick up Sexy Curves by Rimmel. We love the formula and the application the curved brush gives. But to keep it looking more natural after applying a few coats we use the little mascara wands to brush out and spread the lashes.

The disappointment is obviously the OPI silver shatter polish. For around $16 it definitely wasn't worth the price and even if it was a lot cheaper not sure we'd like it. When we'd seen it on other people we thought it looked great but once we had it on it just didn't do it for us so after all the shatter hype this was a HUGE disappointment. We might use it again solely because we just have it.

Vaseline and Beeswax Alternative - "Lubrication for the Nation"

We all know that Vaseline's a multi purpose pot but since it's not a cruelty free product we looked for an alternative and found that Lush Ultrabalm is apparently very similar. We are still transitioning and trying to purchase products that are cruelty free so the next time we need Vaseline or beeswax will definitely be purchasing this product. If you've purchased this in the past definitely let us know what your thoughts are about this product!

What it Claims:
Our mix of candelilla wax and jojoba oil is a vegan alternative to beeswax; it creates a protective barrier on the skin and locks in moisture while rose wax soothes irritations. you can apply the balm to scuffs and scrapes to relieve discomfort, use it as a barrier cream when applying henna, or even use it as a lip balm.

LUSH Lip Tint - it started with a kiss

Love:
♥ We love the warm red tint it leaves and don't think the after picture really shows off how pretty the colour is.
Another great thing is that it works perfectly well in case your out and need it to double up as your blush.
Undecided:
♥ One of us likes the texture because unlike most other lip stains it's not liquid but cream based. While one of us thinks the texture is still too hard and not emollient at all.
Unsure:
♥ It apparently has a few flavours mixed in it but all we can taste is possibly a tad bit of cinnamon and no white chocolate etc.

Overall we just like LUSH and love the colour but aren't sure if we'd repurchase it.

Review - Sally Girl (Deep Magenta)

Put three coats of it on at night without a top coat and when I woke up in the morning some of it had already chipped off. How disappointing is that ?

Review - Sally Girl (Gunmetal Grey)

This gunmetal grey colour is perfect for those who find black nail polish too dark. This colour could put you right in your 'colour comfort zone'. It's a lot more sultry than your regular silver or black nail polishes.

Review - Sally Girl Nail Polishes

We had already purchased the dark blue polish a little while back and we weren't too disappointed with the formulation. The thing we like most is the size of the polishes and the prices. For people who don't always paint their nails and are just looking to change up their colours often and want cheap nail polishes, this would definitely be the way to go. They dry quickly, some have a matte finish, doesn't bubble and it might require a top coat to keep it from chipping off quickly. The Sally's here in Edmonton is having a buy 2 get one free deal. They retail for

Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation: Application

For medium coverage:
It takes a very little amount of foundation and a stippling brush to get the desired light coverage that I want.  I take a tiny bit of the foundation on a lid and just lightly dab the stippling brush

Product Review: Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation

The Mac website describes this foundation as a creamy, luxurious, gel-based foundation that provides medium buildable to high coverage with a natural satin finish. Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush. Long-wearing, water-resistant.

Our Verdict
In addition to doing all that it claims it has SPF 15 which is why we love it even more. Also a small amount of the product goes a long way,  making it worth the price.

Buy:
M.A.C
Price: CA $35.50
Shade: NC 44
eBay
Price : approximately CA $ 24
(includes shipping to Edmonton and this particular seller seems to have a quite a few shades)
