Floral Sunshine

A friend whose creating a portfolio wanted us to model for it and we realized that the shoots could work for our outfits of the day . All the images are a mix taken from her camera and ours. 

Since it was incredibly sunny we wanted an outfit that really fit the weather. Wore the pink tank top with a floral skirt and the green platforms cause it felt very spring/summer fresh!

Ripped Denim Shorts

When it gets really warm here feel like we need to soak up as much sunshine as we can. Because before we know it the snow will start to bury the whole place. So just wore this white racer back top with the little gold detailing and some ripped denim shorts and a pair of Aldo boots that's just folded over! This outfit was just so comfortable and perfect for the weather! Nothing beats comfort right? at least that's the case most of the time.

Neon Hues - Spring 2011 Trend

The neon tights and spandex days are long gone because Spring is all about future forward brights. With this trend less is definitely more, just look at those gowns. We are completely in love with the blue and pink gowns. Aren't they just beautiful? Want to put them on and literally never take them off.  

If your not ready to unleash yourself to the world wearing this trend in fear of possibly looking like a lightsaber from Star Wars at night, start off with statement accessories like we always suggest. Or you could just pair a simple neon top or t-shirt with a basic pair of jeans (which is what we did for a previous look) or even a pair of white shorts and still look great!

The Bumble Bee in Stilettos

Since it's Mothers Day we thought yellow would make for a perfect outfit post since it's our Moms absolute favourite colour. While some people think yellow is rather garish we absolutely love this colour and are always drawn to it. Also some might say wearing black and yellow can make you look like a life size bumble bee but we are perfectly ok with that []cause we really liked the stripe black vest with the dress. Besides the outfit we just loved the location!

Your arms are always open when we need a hug, your heart understands when we need a friend and your strength and love have guided us through the years.  Mom, thank you for being the person we could model our own lives after, for being the strongest person we know, for reminding us that no matter how tough life is there is always sunshine on the other side, and for moulding us into the young women that we are today. Without you we'd be lost because you've enriched our lives in so many ways!

The Marching Candy Cane

The vintage earring that I have on were the inspiration for the whole outfit. We really like the striped red dress with the marching band inspired jacket. And love how the stripes are vertical on the sides to give an hour glass illusion. We'd describe this outfit as "candy cane joins the marching band"!!

Peach Fizz

Just wore this pastel peach coloured top with some white acid wash jeans. Wore the grey peep toe booties to keep the whole colour pallet very light and toned down.

Sharing this video to spread more awareness about this issue again. It's really hard to imagine that people can be so barbaric. We just couldn't put up pictures cause it's really quite painful to look at so thought a funny video would be better to use.

The Tapered High Waisted Pant

High Waisted pants can really accentuate the waist, so to do that we paired these beige tapered pants with a black fitted top tucked in and a skinny belt. Even if you don't have high waisted pants but want that look wearing your mid high pants with a fitted top tucked in and slim belt can be just as effective. The best thing about high waisted pants other than the fact the they can be elongating is definitely that the whole muffin top ordeal can disappear with them on!!!!

White Pants, a Yellow Top and a Pearl Necklace!

Wore the Aldo Macedo platforms with the white pants and the bright yellow top to soak up all the sunshine in Edmonton!

Been looking at this Aldo Macedo pair for a while, and recently found  it on sale!! We've been loving wooden platforms so we had to have it. Since clogs made a come back last Spring, we haven't been able to warm up to this trend (yet). Felt like this pair was a perfect way to warm up to the clog trend because the sole is a little clog inspired. We just love the cone shaped heel and the little stud detailing around it!!!

Marching Band Inspired Jacket and White Pants

Instead of sticking to the everyday jeans, paired this pink top (looks a little red here but it's hot pink) and black marching band inspired jacket with a pair of white pants. A lot of people have an aversion to white

Faux Leather Pants and Floral Bracelets!

These dark grey faux leather pants can make you feel incredibly edgy (like a little rock star lol). Just paired it up with a simple white shirt and these coral coloured pumps by Guess that I completely adore. Added that floral/coral linked bracelet to compliment the shoes since the rest of the outfit is incredibly neutral!
