Denim Bralet

Hope all of you've had a good weekend! We're late but still wanted to wish everyone Eid Mubarak and Happy Friendship day!!

Now onto the outfit. How to wear a bralet:
So we always thought bralets were a risky garment to pull off but a lot of people have been sporting the trend. It's a super playful trend but we think that they should be worn with high waisted bottoms. Here we've paired it with some high waisted white shorts. But depending on where you are or where you're going you could pair it with shorts, short skirts, midi skirts, maxi skirts or even some high waisted jeans! To cover up a little more you can throw on a chunky cardigan over it or even a blazer. Take the chancy leap like we did and try this trend out as well!!!

Vintage Silver

We misplaced our gold belt that was similar to this one, so when we saw this we had to have it. We've used the belt to accessorise out next outfit  post. It's just a very simple and laid back look. Hope you guys will like that!

Camouflage Top and Studded Metallic Hi-tops

So, if we had to join the army this is what we'd hope would be our uniform. A camouflage tie top paired with a nice high waisted skirt and pair of studded metallic hi-top trainers/sneakers. Perfect uniform eh? ;). A nice laid back outfit perfect for a day that involves walking!

Top from local boutique (similar in India try Myntra, Jabong, Yebhi, BYSI)

The Story Continues...

This high waisted full skirt in a sort of skater skirt shape is just so comfortable and girly and perfect for the summer! I'd actually got this skirt while I was working at Gilly Hicks as a model while at uni. Who wouldn't want to wear that work right!!!!

It elongates (much needed since we both are quite petite) and accentuates the narrowest part of the body. Paired with the sky high pink peep toes gives it that pop of colour but it would look just as nice pared with some nice ballet flats or even some pretty flip flops! Would you wear this look? And don't forget to find us on instagram!

The X Factor

(Forever XXI top, Skirt from India, H&M belt, Thrifted clutch, Zara heels)

This top is just perfect to soak up the sun during those hot summer days! Zea loves the sun too so she was out with us trying to get her tiny self on the rock while enjoying the sunshine as well. Sadly this top wasn't long enough to be a dress so I just wore the plain black skirt I got made while I was in India a while back.

Follow us on BLOGLOVIN' and LOOKBOOK

So we finally got on bloglovin' and think it's a great site. It's such a simple way to keep up with all you favourite blogs.
In each blog page on the site it gives you the title of each post a picture and the first paragraph, which if clicked on takes you directly to the blog! If there is a post that you want to save you could just 'like' it and that acts a bookmark, which is pretty neat. It saves a lot of time so be sure to Follow Us there!

As for look book.nu we have a gadget on our side bar so please go and hype/like our looks that we are going to start posting up. We are still trying to figure our way around that but would really appreciate support from all you!

Lace Shorts

Since we'd left Toronto/Hamilton we were both in different places and hence the long look book hiatus. Before we'd left picked up these lace shorts at winners cause we fell completely in love with them. Love that they can be dressed up or down and are incredibly comfortable. For a (more) chic and feminine appeal paired it with the black corset. What's your take on lace shorts?

New love and disappointment

 If anyone is looking for a lightweight mascara that's not too thick,wet and clumpy you have to pick up Sexy Curves by Rimmel. We love the formula and the application the curved brush gives. But to keep it looking more natural after applying a few coats we use the little mascara wands to brush out and spread the lashes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
 The disappointment is obviously the OPI silver shatter polish. For around $16 it definitely wasn't worth the price and even if it was a lot cheaper not sure we'd like it. When we'd seen it on other people we thought it looked great but once we had it on it just didn't do it for us so after all the shatter hype this was a HUGE disappointment. We might use it again solely because we just have it.
Some glitter, scents and shatter
The revlon scented polishes are pretty awesome. The one we've got is in the shade bubble gum and the scent actually lasts for about two days which is a decent amount of time.
Only one of us has tried the OPI silver shatter so we still aren't sure about it.
The Joe polishes weren't to bad. The formula for the shade butter didn't seem great but since they are inexpensive we weren't looking so much for quality and were more interested in the shades.
Haven't used the Forever XXI glitter polish yet but love the holographic glitter.
The Most Comfortable Shoes
These Zara flats are the most comfortable shoes we've bought so far and therefore deserve an exclusive post! Most ballet flats that are flexible and have elastic piping around them tend to dig into our skin a little most of the time. But that's not the case with this pair of ballet flats. It's that flat elastic band and not the round piping that just lays comfortably on the foot! Sometimes it just has to be all about comfort right?
Target In Canada
Targets Canadian invasion! We've always heard about collaborations with various designers, have been to the store in the US but when we went to the Target Apparel store in Edmonton a little while back it was a HUGE disappointment. Nothing really stood out. We should have probably gone into the store with no expectations and maybe we would have found something worth getting (or Not). But that's just how we felt about this retail giant.
